this is it.

Tour!  Wow.  What an undertaking.

Have you ever started a new job and thought,

"What have I gotten myself into?"

It's not all bad, but I have met my match with L'arc d'Education.  (For all of you who weren't privy to sweet Saskatchewan francais classes like me, that means Learning Curve.  I think.)

Today we find ourselves in Revelstoke for a show at The Last Drop Pub.  And it's Alexander Keith's birthday.  I have a feeling I may be treated to celtic music later on...

Our adventures of late:
 • playing a killer house party in Calgary.  Big thanks to Leor and Shauna for that one.
 • opening up for the metal band No World Order in Banff.  (Call it a double booking if you like, but it's all semantics to me.)
 • eating the best food of the tour at Truffle Pigs in Field, BC.
 • avoiding a flophouse hotel room in Golden.  If I was 30 years into a professional drinking career I may not have noticed the difference between it and something that someone would actually pay to sleep in.  (Special thanks to big sister Shauna for pulling another [free] option out of her magic Rolodex.)

I'm sure Alexander Keith's birthday will bring us a new and unforeseen adventure.  And in kilts, I'll bet.

Beth and I have been enjoying the games so far, and will keep the car pointed west until we see water.

  1. 6:00 am on the day after - and now back home. Arrived with the phone beeping and a message from Beth. So your evening had not yet begun when she called and was over when we got home/crawled out of the car into bed. Send lots of good thoughts your way. How was the pub?

  2. Pub was fun. Birthday shenanigans for a long dead man. It's all a wee bit bizarre, really!
