opening act

Hello friends.

Well, we had a busy weekend in North Battleford.  It was my first experience attending a conference, so I didn't quite know what to expect. 

We ended up meeting people from across the province, watching the showcases of artists from all over Canada and having a ball.  One delegate even remembered me from my early days of singing in the RCM festivals.

So thank you to OSAC for making our weekend so enjoyable!  Many more thanks to the awesome stage crew.  We were well taken care of by all.

Last week I had the honour of being named Regina's Best Singer by readers of prairie dog magazine in the Best of Regina poll.  The fabulous Elizabeth Curry was voted best bassist!  Yay!  They said such nice things about us too.

Speaking of Elizabeth and I, we're playing together this Friday at The Artesian in Regina.  We're opening up the night for Karrnnel, and the whole thing will be recorded by the CBC for a Canada Live broadcast.  That's exciting!
